Millions of Zimbabwe residents are at risk of waterborne diseases including a resumption of cholera because of a water and sanitation crisis in the capital, Harare, Human Rights Watch said in a report on Tuesday. The report, issued five years after cholera killed more than 4,000 Zimbabweans and sickened 100,000, described a collapse in water and sanitation services. Residents must often drink from shallow, unprotected wells befouled by sewage, according to the report, which was based on research conducted over the last two years.
